This is a voltage reducing version of the classic full-wave bridge rectifier circuit, converting the sinusoidal input waveform to a reduced positive pulsating DC output. It includes 2 Zener diodes in the lower part of the bridge to ensure the voltage requirement is met. The pulsation is smoothed by the smoothing capacitor C. The series capacitor C1 is used to reduce heat loss.
